Offered at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on Walt Disney World® Resort property, Parasailing at Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre is a fun and exciting way to see the Bay Lake area and beyond. Guests can enjoy the centre’s state-of-the-art parasailing technology that takes off and lands right from the boat, letting guests soar to great heights above the water without ever having to get wet.

A bird’s eye view of the Walt Disney World®Resort will create lifelong memories. The feeling of flying is peaceful and exhilarating all at the same time. Parasailing may be booked as a single (one guest) or tandem (two guests flying together). The “state of the art” parasail boat allows guests to take off and land right from the boat without even getting wet! The crew and vessel exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations ensuring the safest experience possible.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in and fill out the Liability Release Forms (all minors will need a parent or guardian to sign their forms).
    Guests will have two choices,
  • Standard flight. The standard flight is 8-10 minutes at 450’ of line
  • Deluxe flight is 10-12 minutes at 600’ of line.

    Once signed –in, the crew will take you down to the Parasail boat. Sammy Duvall Watersports is allowed to carry up to 6 passengers….flyers have priority, but if we have extra room we can take riders at no extra charge. The First Mate will give all flyers a safety briefing and prepare guests for flight…fitted with a harness and life jacket. Up, up and away you will go! You will have magical views of all of the Walt Disney World® Resorts. You can capture the moment with your own camera or we offer a digital camera package where we take the pictures for you! If you forget something, don’t worry, our pro shop offers a wide range of sundries, sunglasses, towels, souvenir T-Shirts, hats and other watersports accessories to make your day more enjoyable and provide a lasting memory of your watersports experience!

    What to bring:
    Wear lose fitting, comfortable clothing….the same outfits that you would spend a day in the parks in. You do not need to wear a bathing suit because you land and take off from the back deck of the parasail boat without even getting wet! Sun glasses with a strap, sun screen, and a water proof camera to capture the moment are also suggested. Please have footwear to walk on the dock.

    Weather: The Captain can cancel flights due to lightning, high winds or inclement weather. We will make every effort to call guests ahead of time and let them know of delays or try to reschedule at a mutually convenient time.

  • All fliers must be over 6 years old.
  • We require at least 130 lbs. and no more than 330 lbs. total weight in the parachute.
  • If a flier is under the minimum requirement, he or she may accompany another child or adult to reach the minimum weight.
  • The Parasail boat is certified to carry up to 6 guests, flyers have priority. If there is room we can take riders at no extra charge. Riders are NOT guaranteed and selected on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Minors under the age of 18 must have an adult present to sign waivers prior to departing on your trip.

    Frequently Asked Questions about Parasailing

    Will I get wet parasailing?
    No, guests take off and land from the platform of a state of the art coast guard inspected parasail boat. Comfortable attire is suggested.

    Do I need to pay for a park ticket and/or parking?
    No, guests coming to Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre must merely mention to the Disney Gate attendants that they have a reservation at our facility.
    Do I need to be a guest of Disney’s Contemporary Resort?
    No. Guests do not need to be staying at any of the Disney Resorts.
    What are the restrictions?
    Guests parasailing (single and tandem) must be 6 years of age. Weight or combined weight must be between 130lb and 330lb.

    Who needs to complete a Waiver/Liability Release Form?
    Everyone! To participate in our activities, everyone needs to complete a Waiver/Liability Release Form. Adults (over 18) must complete their own, but minors (under 18) will require a parent or guardian to complete a Child Waiver/Liability Release Form.

    - A 22 year old Adult cannot sign the Child Release Form for their 17 year old friend.

     - A 20 year old older brother cannot sign a Child Release Form for their 16 year old sister. Must be a parent!

     - If a family brings a friend (minor) along on the family vacation then the parents can sign as the guardian of the friend. The “friend” could have their parents complete the Child release form in advance if preferred.
    What should I bring?
    Identification, disposable/waterproof camera (we also offer a parasail photo package), form of payment, comfortable attire, and footwear you might wear to a park. Don’t forget sunscreen!

    Will I be with strangers?
    The Parasail Boat holds six guests, fliers have the priority. If there is space, riders may come along at no charge (not guaranteed).  There may be people you do not know on the Parasail boat, but you will only fly with people in your party (if you booked a Tandem).
